QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Quality Control Technician wanted for the EVENING shift (40-55hr/week) with a salary starting at $18/hour depending on experience.

DEC in Dietetic Techniques
1 to 3 years of quality experience in a similar position;
Knowledge of the HACCP system;
Fluency in French and knowledge of English;
Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Good physical stamina and cold tolerance (refrigerated plant).
Availability, punctuality and assiduity at work are de rigueur.
Team spirit, proactivity and sense of cleanliness

Ensures that the cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment is carried out according to the program prior to the start of operations;
Monitor critical control points, CFIA standards;
Measure control parameters (% humidity, %O2, %CO2; Weight, …) and perform visual inspections.
Write requests for corrective action in the event of non-compliance and establish deadlines for corrections with the department concerned;
Record all information accurately in the computer file;
Ensure the follow-up of corrective actions until they are completed;
Inform the quality control director of all non-conformities;
Ensure employee training and reinforcement to employees to respect good hygiene practices and ensure compliance with good hygiene practices;
Assist supervisors and production employees;
See to the respect and application of the allergen management program;
Prepare sampling equipment and take samples according to the various protocols;
Fill out the sampling forms;
Participate in the development and implementation of various performance indicators;
